The Eyes of My Heart
During the year 2014, my one word was "dream." I wanted to "dream" about opportunities, beautiful places, capturing images, and meeting people. During this time of dreaming, I planned the trip in which this picture was taken, and I learned a very important lesson. I learned that if you didn't dream it and push towards it, no one would dream it for you. You have to have the vision. Your dreams are all up to you. I am grateful for 2014, my year of the "dream," and what it taught me.
But, because of my faith in Jesus Christ, I am grateful for simply everything. He allows me to always dream the biggest dreams, and see the most amazing things. He makes it possible to see with my eyes (like everyone else)...and with my heart (this is where the magic happens). Does He do that for you, too? Does what you see in life nourish your soul and speak to you in those innermost places? Does what you see in life lift you to a place and make you feel that your feet aren't on the ground? Does it make your soul sing? Does what you see around you feel like worship? Can you see with the eyes of your heart?
I try to let the eyes of my heart lead my photography, and I hope this connects with you as you view my images. Do you feel it? Can you sense any emotion or depth in the images? My prayer is that you do.
This is a beautiful website full of fantastic pictures. I am very proud of all that you have accomplished here.
From the first day I met you I recognized your gratitude for everything in God’s creation and that you see with not just your eyes, but your heart. You have made me aware that I do not see His creation with my heart. You have taught me and continue to teach me to nourish my soul in those innermost places in what I see in life and allow it to lift my feet off the ground to that higher place. You bring new awareness to me a more beautiful and heartfelt worship. Thank you for sharing your heart for worship and the photography that comes from your soul song.
